JR Ward is one of those authors that I will always trust to give me a great read. Like her BDB series this Bourbon King is one continuous story. This book picks up right after the events of the last book. Lane is trying to deal with his father’s death and betrayal. They whole family is dealing with having no real money to speak of. Which is quite the shock for these people that grew up with old money. Each of the siblings have major developments in this story. I absolutely love that you don’t just get glimpses of the other characters in these books, but you get completely into their heads. While Lane may be the main focus of both books so far, His other siblings Edward and Gin have quite the life dramas as well. I think this series is going to be like the liquor it is named after, It will just get better with age. I can’t wait to see where JR takes us with this family, and what new dramas the next installment will bring us.
