Tom and Willie’s story is just freaking beautiful!!! The possibilities for love don’t stop when we reach a certain age. It is great to read a story of two mature people overcoming their pasts by finding each other! ~ KcLu, Guilty Pleasures
Description:
The best things are worth waiting for.
Tom London has done a pretty damn good job. Despite an illness that stole his young wife years ago, he’s raised his biological son, and several adopted ones, to be fine men. The Hot Rods might be unconventional, but they’re hardworking, hard-playing, and hard-loving. Tom couldn’t ask for anything more—except perhaps an equally fierce love of his own. And he’s got his eye on a luscious candidate. Ms. Wilhelmina Brown, a longtime widow with more than enough sass in her step to take him on.
Willie has a lot in common with Tom. She’s raised two wonderful daughters, both now married into the Hot Rods family, and lived through her own tragedy, having lost her husband in a horrific accident. More than two decades later, she and Tom still live with the ghosts of their pasts, but she’d have to be dead herself not to feel the man’s effect on her libido. They already share a mutual respect; perhaps they can each be what the other needs in more tangible ways…
As Tom and Willie take one step closer, an explosive revelation shoots them several steps back. But that bombshell turns out to be just a precursor to something potentially worse…potentially deadly…and potentially enough to keep the mature lovers apart forever.
This book can be read as a standalone title.

For some people they don’t find their forever love until late in life, or tragedy takes away their love way to early in life. Sadly for both of the people in this story, they fall in both categories. Since they were introduced in Super Nova Tom London and Willie Brown just seamed to belong together, and finally they are getting their story!!!
Tom London lost his young wife to cancer. He went on to raise not only his own son alone, but he adopted along the way all of the Hot Rods. He is the owner and founder of the Hot Rods station and garage. He has spent many years alone, but now he is ready to admit to the love he has for Willie. He just has to convince her to take the chance on him.
Willie Brown lost her husband a lifetime ago. She sees it as her own fault, because the bigots in the town they lived in couldn’t get past the fact that she was black and he was white. The car accident that took him from her and her young daughters stole more than just his life. It seemed to have taken her backbone too. She wants Tom with all that she has, but is scared to take that chance on love again.

It is great to read a story of two mature people overcoming their pasts by finding each other! I don’t know if the fact that I’ve always liked older men has me biased, but LAWD is Tom London one hot man. I sent Jayne a private message when I finished it. I told her I licked him to claim him as my own. I think I have a new lead book boyfriend!! I hope y’all enjoy this story as much as I have!! (Get some tissues!! You may need them!)
