Every time I read a book by Barbara Elsborg I am blown away by the depth of the story, by the realism in her characters, and by the amount of emotions she brings forth in me as I get drawn in to her fictional world. While this book is a M/M/F ménage story it is about so much more; the three people who are drawn together each have their own story to tell, their own burdens to bear, and their own issues to deal with. They are each a little bit broken and while the two men seem destined to be angry and frustrated with what has happened to them in their lives, the woman chooses to not dwell and keep moving forward which lands her directly in both of their paths. This is a story of three people healing past hurts, overcoming huge hurdles, and believing that with the love they all share together they can do anything. This was a profound and intense story but it is also beautiful and amazing and another reason I keep reading everything this author puts out.
Three main characters, all fighting to get on even ground again; Flint Klavan is a movie star whose life has changed in an instant, Mollie James is a teacher who finds herself in a situation she never thought possible and Lysander Weldon is an artist who is trying to paint away his pain.
Mollie rents a room from Lysander and befriends Flint (whom she doesn’t recognize at first) and finds herself attracted to both men and knows they are to her. She’s fascinated by Lysander’s talent as an artist and while she finds him arrogant she can’t help but smile at his charm and wit. She knows Flint (who she at first refers to as hoodie guy because she can’t see all of his face) has had some sort of accident that has affected his speech and part of his hearing. She sets out to help him and find out he’s a famous actor and she vows to help him because she enjoys his company and knows somehow she calms his fears.
I very much enjoyed Mollie’s friendship with both men with each being very different. I felt for her being so confused by the riot of emotions both men brought forth in her and for her fear of being hurt after escaping her past. When the two men meet another layer to this story begins and it was very interesting as past events were uncovered and the emotional toll it took on them all. Through everything they worked together to help Flint recover, help Lysander learn to forgive, and help Molly deal with an ex who just won’t go away. I loved that while they knew becoming a triad wouldn’t be easy, they also knew that without each other (all three of them) their lives would not be complete.
Talking Trouble is another brilliantly written story by author Barbara Elsborg; emotional and sexy and not to be missed.

This book drew me in from the beginning. I didn’t know what direction the author was taking these
characters, but I really wanted to know more. Three completely separate stories that you had no idea would come together to be this complexly beautiful story.
I don’t know how to tell y’all much about this story without giving away things I would consider spoilers. You have the two man-whores hiding painful pasts and a woman that is literally broken by the man she was seeing. They all end up in each other’s paths through matters of chance, but when they come together it is clear to see they bring out the best in each other, even when all around them is the worst this world can offer. This is not an easy flowery love story. The path to HEA is built with one stumbling block after another, but by leaning on each other they build something that no one can break down.
I love Barbara’s writing! You never get what you are expecting, and she always grabs hold of me until I reach the end. I can never put her books down to focus on the real world, and this one lives up to those expectations. The twists and turns of this story are ones that I will be thinking of for days and weeks to come. I highly recommend snatching this one up!!!
